Hach's UVAS plus sc digital UV probe is designed for reagent-free determination of the organic load in the medium or in a bypass via the spectral absorption coefficient (SAC). Direct UV measurement provides reliable measured values instantly. The low-maintenance sensor is self-cleaning and, with its stainless steel housing, is suitable for use even in harsh environmental conditions.
The UVAS plus sc probe offers a wide range of applications: protecting treatment plants from industrial discharges, monitoring shock loads from internal plant processes, controlling activated sludge processes, organic-load-based control of methanol feed in biological nutrient removal, final effluent monitoring and monitoring UV disinfection process efficiency.
The sensor connects to all SC controllers, providing versatile output options such as 4-20 mA Output, Modbus RS485, Profibus or HART.
